Interface PABX / Telephone Central.

wInner telephone Interfaces handles the automation with the telephone system. This Interface consists out of 2 modules:

  • Basic PABX Interface. This interface module handles the caal charging process.
  • Extended PABX Interface. This module supports extended functions only if the PABX system offers such functionality. Thes functions can be: opening & closing of extentions, wake-up call, roomstatus change...

Telephone extentions can be routed to other rooms / extentions in the wInner system. This feature is used when extentions differ from the room number, of in case of telephones in meeting rooms.

Functionality.

Basic Interface. (Call charging).

The main function of the basic interface is call charging. Whenever a call is made, it is sent to the wInner system in realtime and posted onto the guest account.

  • Telephone extentions can be routed. For example: Meeting rooms extentions that need to be routed to the meetingroom account.
  • The cost of the calls can be marked up.
In case we recive pulses from the PABX, pulse ranges can be set with various cost per pulse range.
In case the PABX sends a cost value, this can be marked up in ther parameter settings of the Interface.
  • The wInner system keeps logfiles of all traffic between wInner and the PABX.

Extended PABX Interface.

It is important that you verify with your PABX vendor if these functions are present in your PABX device and if these can be interfaced via the protocoal description of the PABX system.

Depending on the type of PABX, following functions can be supported:

  • Opening of telephone extention (check-in). This function will automatically open the extention in the room when the check-in is registered in wInner Front Office.
    image
  • Closing of telephone extention (check-out). This function will automatically close the extention in the room when the check-out is registered in wInner Front Office.

  • Room status change. Using the telephone set in the room, the room maid keys in a code which triggers the telephone system to send a message to wInner which will change the status of the room to ‘clean’.

  • Wake up calls that are entered in the wInner system can be sent automatically to the telephone system.

  • Messages entered in wInner can trigger a message to be sent to the telephone system in order to switch on a “message waiting” light on the telephone set.

  • Telephone extensions can be routed. I.e. in case a telephone extension does not match the room number, wInner can be programmed to route the messages or charges from this extension to a particular room.
